أنا لست فنانا كبيرا ولكنني بالتأكيد فنان مجتهد، ألاحق عملي ملاحقة العاشق، ومثابرة المدمن، يحدوني في ذلك أمل دائم باكتشاف معنى جديد أو صيغة مبتكرة. ومن هنا ترى الهدف أمامك تمسك به طورا ويفلت منك أطوارا. ذلك يفسر الإصرار والعناء في استمرار بحثي خلال أربعين سنة ونيف، بما فيها سنوات التردد والحيرة

“I am not a great artist, but I am certainly a hard-working artist, pursuing my work with the pursuit of a lover, and the perseverance of an addict. My motivation is a permanent hope to discover a new meaning or an innovative formula. From there you can see the target in front of you, you get a hold of it sometimes but it escapes form you most of the times. This explains the persistence and effort in continuing my research during the past forty-odd years, including the years of indecision and confusion.”
